Summer swimming pool Nova Gorica

The project included the preparation of IDZ, DGD, PZI and PID documentation. The pavilion building of the winter swimming pool, located in the immediate vicinity of the existing outdoor Olympic swimming pool, fills a gap in the structure of the sports park. On a square-shaped construction site with an area of ​​two tennis courts, the swimming pool is designed as a massive cubic volume that makes the most of the modesty of the available space. The swimming pool platform is raised to the level of the first floor, where it extends over the entire surface, and large facade glazing provides good natural lighting deep inside the space and connects the swimming pool with a view of the outdoor swimming pool and playground and the surrounding hills that hug the city from the north. On the ground floor, all technical and service rooms are arranged under the swimming pool platform around the compensation pools, as well as an entrance hall with changing rooms and sanitary facilities for visitors.
